Post 2- Goal Setting

Share your goals

  • What "something new" will you try this year?

  • Look at your goals. How will the material that we cover in class help you achieve them?

  • What will you learn over the next two years that will contribute to their fulfillment?

There are two new things that I am actually excited to try. Piano and Archery. Of course, not simultaneously, but on their own. Archery will be easy to begin, as I can start practicing in the Al Forsan Club, however with Piano, it won't be as easy. First would be persuading my parents, then finding a suitable teacher or place to study the musical instrument.

For my goals, I had put that I hope to be in a career that I enjoy. And careers that interest me range from acting to directing, to novelist, to law and other similar careers. And for this course/subject, the material we will be taking can relate to the aforementioned careers/jobs. For example, Unit 4's  (Adverinfotaiment) questions can be used in dramatic writing and with directing, as you put these topics in mind with a story.

As mentioned previously, Unit 4 (Adverinfotaiment) can help with dramatic writing, as the topics can be used for character creation or development. Unit 3's (Such Stuff as Dreams) anchor text is a Shakespeare play, so this could also be related to dramatic writing, but it also can be implemented into acting. For Unit 2 (Power and Resistance), the overall theme of the topic can be used for Law or psychology and can give me a better insight of how society or a higher institution (government) works.
